Join John McCafferty in his minimal till market garden in Goodwood, where he produces high value crops in intensive rotations on 1/2 of an acre. John grows using a deep mulch system and markets directly to restaurants and retailers. He will talk about the pros and cons of no till, what has and hasn’t worked, the tools he uses, and why he tried deep tillage in some of his beds this year.
John is also happy to talk about weed management, season extension, insect pressure, farming while parenting, and whatever else takes your fancy.
