We’re looking for a project manager

  1. Healthy and resilient communities need healthy and resilient food systems.

Our Food Network (OFN) is a small not-for-profit organisation supporting food resilience and food sovereignty in Ōtepoti. OFN aims to stimulate the production, distribution and consumption of local food, contributing to the building of a resilient and prosperous community. We do this by:

·         Strengthening the community by connecting individuals and organisations with an interest in food resilience to enable the sharing of skills and resources, collaboration on larger and longer-term projects and telling the stories of local food resilience.

·         Widening the conversation around food resilience and sovereignty to enable more people to understand the issues and participate in a vibrant and flourishing local food system where everyone has access to healthy food.

·         Changing systems to increase the space enabling local food systems to flourish

We are currently looking for a part time (15 hrs p/w) for 30 weeks, contract, Project Manager to undertake some key projects and strengthen connections with organisations working to enhance local and resilient food systems.

The key project is to develop and run a local food challenge. The project manager will also organise and run community events, create content for OFN social media channels, website and newsletters, facilitate meetings between key stakeholders and increase the community’s understanding of why a local resilient food system is vital to healthy communities. We need someone who has great community networks, is versatile, creative, energetic, and friendly to make this happen!
