Pātaka Kai / Neighbourhood Food Pantries

Take what you need, share what you can.

The (Pātaka Kai) Open Street Pantry Movement is a grassroots solution to immediate and local need, rescuing food and encouraging the co-sharing between neighbours to strengthen communities.  Whether you need food or have some extra to give, these pantries facilitate neighbours helping neighbours and building community.  All street pātaka (pantries) are stocked voluntarily.

Pātaka Kai are not a place to put rubbish or old food. Fresh produce, canned food, and other non-perishables are best.
